Describing myself as an ‘artist’ has not been something I have considered until now. The freedom which I have found is both scary and daunting. There is nothing to stop me, expect myself.
Dabbling in drawing and painting became a reality for me about six years ago when I moved to the Central Coast from Sydney. I spent some time at Raymondale Art School, and commenced an Art degree at Curtin University. I have now moved on to pastel after painting with oil and Acrylic and have delved in wood and stone sculpture and digital art. Experimenting with the use of bitumen, alfoil, spray paint, paper textures, stencils and I am hoping to add wax to the list, is an adventure. There is nothing too profound about my paintings, I simply endeavour to paint what I feel and this is probably based on what is around me.
